Campering Again

This time we headed West and picked up a campervan in Perth. Ela was a bit sickly to start and vomited before we even got out of the driveway, but she soon perked up as we spotted roadworks ahead. She just adores anything mechanical most especially diggers, dozers and scrapers.
We did a tour of the
south west of Western Australia and boy was it cold. Ela was layered up for most of the trip but she still enjoyed filling her bucket occassionally with sand but more often with pebbles or leaves from the campsite. Then of course she enjoyed emptying the sand in the van.

We did a treetop walk in the tingle forests and visited lighthouses and walked long piers (2KM in fact). Then we headed to warmer climes inland at Kalgoorlie and visited some goldmines and true Aussie watering holes.

At night when we put Ela to bed in the van, we would be outside eating dinner and sipping the best of the region's wines, and every now and then Ela would pop her face up to the window and remind us she was still in there. But all in all she was a star.

We also did a tour of all the major playgrounds in the State - not a one was allowed to pass us by without Ela giving a loud yell, pointing prolifically and shouting 'out, out' followed by rapid nodding of the head.
