Polos and Tippy Toes

One of the things Ela learned to do recently was walk around on her tip toes. That was closely followed by small steps and then marching steps. We think she picked these up from her new childcare centre, Gumnut, at Macquarie Uni. She loves it there and claps her hands with glee when we pull into the carpark.

A dancer in the making? She has learned to dance something akin to a chicken, wiggling her bum for a few seconds whenever she hears a piece of music she likes or when she is playing her turn on the radio/turn off the radio trick.

She's also developed a toothpaste habit, refusing to give up the tube when brushing her teeth. Lets hope she kicks that one soon.

But her favourite all time activity is definitely drawing. She has quite a few creations posted on the fridge already and goes crazy when she spots a pen, rushing around frantically trying to find some paper to scribble on.

I'm planning to purchase some bath crayons pretty soon to distract her from a recently developed hatred of the bath. She gets quite distressed even at the mention of bath time and it turns into a full on production when we try and get her in the water. Any suggestions as to what we can do to overcome this problem would be gratefully received. Posted by Picasa
