Verbosity

Ela has been saying the odd word or two for a few months now and her vocab is growing daily. She used to have a few favourites like 'egg' and 'more' and 'out', and she moved from the 'a' at the end of words to 'ie'. So mama and dada became mammie and daddie and of course Bob became Bobbie! Today we were driving to school and I looked in the mirror to see her chewing on a crayon. I grabbed a wet wipe from the pack and passed it back telling her to clean her face and mouth, which she did, but not before saying 'cold'. What a sweetie.
She also picked up her second blankie - the one with her name on it (for childcare) and pointing to the writing said 'Ela'. So not just speaking but reading too (hahaha).
She is still a bit confused about a few things - I think she thinks the word for dog is George as she calls both of our dogs by the same name. And then there is a picture on her wall (that she painted) which she loves to point at and shout 'spotty' - haven't worked that one out yet.
And as for the picture, this is my latest acquisition - a rocking moo cow. She loves it to bits bit I'm frightened she's going to rock so hard it'll go over backwards!
