The Theatre
Ela has enjoyed numerous outings to the theatre while she has been staying in Liverpool. The first trip to the Empire (theatre) was to see LazyTown Live. That was just fantastic and prompted an immediate purchase of the pink Stephanie outfit pictured in our cruise photos.
Our next date was at Croxteth Hall Country Park, one wet and chilly summer evening, we enjoyed Peter Pan in the grounds of the estate. It was very energetic with the five members of the cast running and jumping and keeping the kids enthralled. Ela even volunteered herself to go up on stage and sit with Wendy and Peter while they dodged the evil Captain Hook.
Then last week we went to the Empire again to see The Wiz, which was a local production (120 Liverpool kids) singing and dancing their way through a modified version of the famous Wizard of Oz which happens to be Ela's favourite movie of the moment. Again, she was enthralled at the whole thing and talked constantly throughout the whole production about who was coming next and what was happening and pointed out the differences in the story line, much to the delight of everyone around us.
After everything we have seen Ela always announces to anyone who will listen that her Daddy would love this show and that she will get him to come and see it with her next time....because undoubtedly the show would be surely coming to Sydney when we get there.
