Easter chickens
The chicks I am referring to here are of the pox variety not the fluffy yellow ones. Yes Ela has gotten a bout of chicken pox. At first I thought it was just a heat rash from all the chocolate she had been given for Easter. But it turns out to be the dreaded lurgy. So far she is coping remarkably well, loving the attention and the dabbing of her 'pops' (as she calls them) with calamine lotion. It is probably my sanity that is more at risk with the thought of staying indoors with her for at least the following week if not more. Ela scored well at Easter not only with eggs but with cards from Australia (thanks Daddy and Aunty Angie/Uncle Jamie) and with presents too. She got a very cute cuddly rabbit from the neighbours and a Bella Dancerella DVD with dance mat and musical wand from Nana and Grandad. We also did an egg hunt in the house using little blue arrows to direct here to the hidden goodies.
As you can see from the picture, she is pretty happy and not that spotty. She had just returned from a trip to Crosby beach with Nana to collect shells. English beaches in winter are obviously not a place she could pass on the spots so we thought it a safe place to go. However she has only the one image of beaches as she asked Nana on the way there 'Have you brought the suncream Nana?'
