Christmas Celebrations

On Christmas eve our small family enjoyed a scrumptious dinner cooked by daddy. It was the first time we had all sat down to eat together around the same table! Ela loved pulling her Pooh Bear crackers (thanks Nana) but said she was a bit scared of the 'crack'.

Ela was very excited about Santa's arrival but when she woke for her midnight toilet visit, she didn't think to look for the presents. In fact when she came into our room in the morning, she was most upset that there was nothing for her in the advent calendar. Trying to hide the laughter we tried to explain that she should check out her stocking hung at the end of the bed. Next there were shreiks of excitement from her room "look mummy, Santa brought me bubbles". How easy it is to please a 3 year old :)


In true Ela style she spent hours opening each present and playing with it before moving onto the next. In fact she enjoyed opeing Tom's present more than her own! Poor Tom - I can see in years to come he's going to have to be quick if he wants his own presents.

Then we headed to Nanie and Grandads house for more presents including the bike, lots of good food, drink and of course plenty of candy canes. Then off to Aunty Cathy's house for dinner and more attention. By the time we got her in the car to go home she was quite the ferrel child and after a very very long day we all went to bed about the same time!
