My Mum

Today I got my Australian Citizenship and had to go to the local town hall to collect my certificate. Ela and Daddy came to watch, and sat in the balcony. It was a bit boring for her, with lots of MPs doing speeches and participants swearing oaths. But she made her presence felt during Philip Ruddock's speech by shouting at the top of her voice 'where's my mummy? I can't see her Dad!' And then again, when I went up on stage to receive my certificate and native plant she could be heard shouting 'Get a present for me mum, one for me.' That put a smile on my dial.
