Santa Revisited

Well this year we thought we would be more prepared for Ela's fear of Santa Claus. She has been learning about him at Childcare and points out his picture. We wandered by him in the shopping centre, waving hello and we taught her that when she meets him she must tell him she has been a good girl and that yes please she would love a big present. 'What will you ask for?' we said to her. She said she would ask for a Pooh bear present for her friend Oli (as he can't speak yet), and a Thomas Tank for Ela.
When we went into the shop on Saturday morning she waved and shouted 'Hi Santa, Ela good girl, present please'. We were delighted and took her up to get the prize photo. But no it wasn't to be. She was happy to talk from a distance but she was not going to sit on his knee or even next to him...without mummy. So for the second year running Mum had to sit with Santa. You can also see blankie peeping out from underneath and Santa having a sly feel.
