Ela took the song to heart as she spent about an hour bawling her eyes out because she was overcome by all the kids (25) and the entertainer on the mic and the loud music. She was mesmerised by it all but scared stiff. Then the kids started to attack her daddy with their balloon swords - as instructed my the man on the mic, until he paid them a pound to stop. NO DADDY NO, MY DADDY cried Ela, and back came the tears. Once a few kids (Niamh and Samantha) took Ela under their wing and showed her the pencils and drawing paper, she soon perked up and was right to sing happy birthday and blow out the candles eventually.
